Hey guys was wondering if its fine for me to use this windows 7 iso:

Ive deleted the url to a legit iso from the microsoft website.
along with the oem certificate key on the bottom of my laptop to perform a reformat when i get my acer 5738g. It comes with windows 7 home premium 64 bit but acers come with so much bloatware i think it would be easier to do a reformat.

Cheers.

I would remove that link asap :). As long as the ISO you use is an unbranded, windows 7 64bit disk I shouldn't see a problem. It's the first thing I done when I purchased my Windows 7 acer laptop

But it's an OEM key? I'm pretty sure they can only be used once, and I imagine Acer will already have activated it for you. I may be wrong though.

The OEM software can be installed as many times as you like as long as it is on the same PC (motherboard) it was originally activated on.
The first thing I do with a laptop is a clean install of the OS

I did the same thing with my laptop when It came with Vista... just used an OEM Vista CD and did a clean install using the laptops OEM key, when it came to activation I had to call MS as it would not activate over the net, but others worked like a charm.

Good to know thanks mate! Acers are a joke when it comes to bloatware but thats probably why theyre so cheap.

So if i ever needed to reformat/reinstall i can just use that legit windows 7 iso like i would with one of those acer recovery disks?
