EDIT: Fixed it, hadn't installed a driver correctly! 
right, just built my new PC and everything is working fine apart from the sound.
The mo-bo is a Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
I've installed all drivers apart from the Yahoo toolbar.
I believe i have all the connections right, so im a bit stuck.
When i put in an audio cd it doesn't attempt to play it as theres an error.
Any ideas?
