"But in the world nothing can be said to be certain except death and that Corsair do things properly."

Ben Franklin

(maybe not quite the original quote)

And on face value from these reviews a smidge quicker in a few tests over the Vertex 4 with its latest firmware (1.5) but somewhat trounced in other tests.

It a very good looking drive with very good performance stats.

Hopefully those tests will translate it epic real world performance like that of the M4. The M4 even in these tests looks slow but in reality its far from it...

Bottom Line

If we only looked at the Corsair Neutron GTX with our standard consumer workloads, we would have found the drive to be nice, although not particularly remarkable in many ways. What's exciting though is that when we really start working the drive hard with our new enterprise grade testing, especially in heavy workloads with lots of write activity, the SSD simply shines above all other current generation consumer SSDs. If you're evaluating a drive to humm along with basic tasks, honestly, most will do well under that guideline. But if you want a consumer grade drive that can deliver under heavy load and write tasking, then the Neutron GTX is the best we've seen.

Wait for the new indilinx controller, it is rumored to be genuinely class leading and ground breaking....

I'm a little surprised too, considering the performance difference I was hoping that Corsair might be a bit more competitive with their main rivals or maybe the offers from Samsung/Crucial are just too good to be true!
