Brand new iphone 6... broken!

New iPhone 6 fresh out the box. Charge to 100%

Pop sim in, update to 8.1.3 all good so far.

Connect to itunes, restore from back up.

Come back to the phone after 15 mins, to find it turned off. :confused:

Try turning it on for the next 15 mins no go. Wont switch on when connect to itunes or mains....

The funny thing is, when you connect to itunes, it detects the iphone. But no display on the phone.

Any one have any ideas? :confused:

Tried the Sleep/Wake button + Power button at the same time to reset? Think you hold both for about 10 seconds to force a full reboot.

If you let the battery run down a bit does the display start working? A colleague had this issue with a refurb after his managed to bend his previous one.

Had a similar problem with my 5s. I fixed it by toggling the mute button 5 times then press and hold the home and sleep button for 10 seconds

BINGO!

Upon turning on it is now doing the restore....

Had that before and unplugging / plugging in seems to bring it back to life, not sure why either

As much as people praise Apple for there design, creativity and software, some of the quirks the stuff comes with is crazy.
