Brand New Nas Failing 67512 bad sectors

Hi All,

I bought a Brand new Ironwolf Nas Drive to put in my Synology DS720+, as soon as I put the drive in the NAS it came up as failing, 67512 bad sectors, is this fixable or should I go through the pain of sending it back.

Do you care about any of the data you would put on the drive? Even if those sectors get reallocated, I wouldn't consider it myself, and for a new drive would return it as DOA.

How is this even a question? Return to retailer and seek replacement, no need to go through a manufacturer replacement in a drive supplied as new that’s defective.
