Brand new self built rig, problem, help!!

Cheers man, Yeah this is my first system too which i've built on my own. I was there for 11 straight hours trying to figure out what to do. im a bloody master of knowledge now, seriously. Hope it is the mobo, if it isn't that im pretty sure its my PSU.

LoL.. 11 hours straight?!?! :D

Don't you have another PSU you can test it with?

It would be a nightmare if you RMA'd the board only to be told it wasn't faulty, believe me, I have been there more than once!!

I have been building/repairing PC's for friends and family for around 10 years, and I thought I was quite knowledgable when it came to PC builds, but this i7 rig made me feel like a total n00b!!!

I have enough hardware for 2 i7 builds now because of all the stuff I went and bought to try and fault find my rig!!!

I just need to get another i920 to complete the second build which will then be going to my missus..

Nice, my old system was supposed to go to my missus too but till the i7 is built, its still mine.

I have another problem, i recently got a Hanns G 28"
Now when i play games my GPU over heats after say 10 mins then my PC auto shuts down.
whats up with that ?

My gfx card says it supports 1290x1200 so whats the problem ? :(
Its like one bad thing after another here, can i at least get a break ?!

Any clues as to why its causing it oto over heat ? Like i understand the GPU needs to work harder the higher the resolution but still... Doesn't this mean it will just overheat in my new rig ?
im using a BFG GTX 9800 1GB + OC on a 28" screen with no AA on my games. :(
