I'm a newb whe it comes to Intel systems but I have spent some time picking out the following:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - OEM
Zalman CNPS9500-AT Aero Flower (Socket 775) CPU Cooler
BFG nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC)
Western Digital Raptor X 150GB WD1500AHFD 10,000RPM SATA 16MB Cache - OEM
Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB 3200KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS Edition - Retail (£25 Cashback)
Lian-Li PC-101 Aluminum Mid Tower - Silver
Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK)
BenQ FP241W 24" Widescreen HDMI/HDCP LCD HD Monitor - Black
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm trying to go for the best performance gaming system without paying for the very top end parts (IE. the 8800 GTS instead of a GTX) but it's still going to cost over £2000.
Is there anything there that you would consider out of place/missing? Any bottle necks, any bad choices?
