Brave browser - "open in private window" disabled

So all of a sudden my Brave browser has grayed out the "open in private window" mode. Very strange, I can't think why it would suddenly stop this. I have reinstalled the program and this has not worked. Any idea why this has happened and how to revert it please? Thank you
