hello,

I am trying to run the above game on my win7 old laptop and win 10.

At present, it won’t start saying the usual not a win 32 app or this program won’t run on win 10.

I have had it working before but cannot remember how. I do know that when you move the exe file to the install folder and overwrite the same exe file there, the program works but crashes once you try to click on an option in the main menu...... very confusing why that is. Anyway could anybody make any suggestions?

I have done all the compatibility options etc and admin permissions

Thanks

There could be a number of things stopping this from working but a good chance is 64bit comparability. Your best bet is to install a virtual machine with windows 98SE that get around slot of the problems caused by software.

Moving the exe around...... sounds you might be dealing with a modified exe file to get around cd checks. I'm not sure if we can discuss this due to forum rules.

Thanks for that I thought you need a windows 98 original cd though............ no its definitely the original game I have had it for years

I remember seeing this game being shown on a tv show called Cybernet back in the day :)

I reckon I saw that too.

There was another game, possibly on the same episode, that I've long wondered what it was. Looked like some sort of adventure game. They highlighted the advanced water effects of it. Now that I know the name of the TV show (thanks) I might try to find it

No problem :)

Its the old safedisc or securerom protection if ur on win 10 im betting. Also make sure it installs on win 10 in program files x86 as thats a special folder to emulate win 32 games iirc. You might need a illegal way to play which i dont recommend of course at all, that or look for youtube vids of it been played recently and try ask the video creator how he did it or try google.
