Do any of you like this song? I think it has a great vibe, it's an interesting remix of an incognito tune. It might appeal more to any jazz fans here, (are there any?) it has a retro fusion/jazzfunk thing going on against a cool latiny breakbeat rhythm. I fully expect a plethora of meh's. :p

That was ok, its a bit laid back and Jamiroqai for my tastes though. Is it my imagination or has it got a really weird time signature? The beats throw me out.

Not sure I'd call it breakbeat though. When I think of breakbeat, I think of Stanton Warriors, Rennie Pilgrim, Krafty Kuts, etc. Though this was many years ago and its probably called something else now.. I'm betting the word "core" is involved somewhere.

I'm not positive if it's purist breakbeat, although I know simon grey admits he's into playing breakbeats, ala 4 hero, etc. To be honest, breakbeat is really just a cool word for syncopated or displaced beats, which you find in DnB and some acid jazz. Yeah, it's all in four, no weird time sigs. It can definitely throw you out I agree, but the main snare backbeat is on the 'a' of 1e+a, if you know your semiquavers. :p
