Breakdown cover

I've been tasked with finding breakdown cover for my Grandmother, who has been with the AA for years, and claims they are simply too expensive.

She has a 2004 1.6 Astra with something silly like 14,000 miles on the clock. Nothing special required, just basic breakdown cover.

Suggestions?

isn't autoaid a pay then claim service - i'm not sure this would be the best solution for OP's Grandmother...

I have just got seperate breakdown cover for the first time only 2 weeks ago, I went with Green Flag who were cheapest and quoted £70 for the year on their 2nd best cover (it covers everything but driving in Europe) ... The thing is it only will cost me £40 overall in the end as you can get cashback of £30 from going through Quidco.

AutoAid is no good as you need to pay the guy who comes out and then claim the money back.

Just get the cheapest but comprehensive option through moneysupermarket, i think my comp breakdown cover is something like £35/year?
