Breakdown Cover

Evening all.

I need some breakdown cover to ideally take me home if required (this rules out the free cover through the insurers/banks AFAIK) I'd like it cover both me and the mrs on a 52 plate cooper S and an 05 micra.

What would you recommend?

I pay 8 quid a month to cover both our cars through green flag. I got a bit of cash back too can't remember how much.

I'm with AA, there's a joint membership which cover you both in any car. I got a £25 Amazon at the same time.

Never had to call out though, so can't comment there.
 
I have Green Flag membership through my Natwest bank account and it includes home recovery.

In fact what they did last time I claimed (on a bank holiday Monday and 5 miles into our journey back to Southampton from Newquay), was give me a hire car to drive home in and use until my car came down on a transporter the next day.

It was so much better than being stuck in the cab of a recovery truck doing 50mph and having to make idle chitchat with the driver!
