Angle Grinder. Might cost you a couple of discs but it's done the trick for me before.

I'm no expert but taking a chainsaw to a big lump of metal seems like a bad idea. I suspect it'd bounce back and probably cause you some damage. Typical woman suggestion trying to get men killed.

I can't imagine the funny look you would get if you took a safe into a locksmiths, complete with wall fixing bolts, and part of said wall attached to safe still.

The safe you have sounds like the one my dad had and I can confirm the above does work.

Just use something heavy enough and if you hit it at a certain angle it will open. I don't have the you tube link as my brother found it but best to check on there as to exactly where you hit it.

To update, my keys didn't turn up so I ended up getting my trusty club hammer on the job. The door opened in about 8 smashes
