Can anyone clear up the break guidelines per hours worked or is it different to each store and not government reg?

as far as I'm aware your not entilted to it. unless in your contract, stands back to be proved wrong.. (been a few years, 6 since I looked into breaks.)

This may or may not apply to you as I'm not entirely sure if the guidelines we follow (Asda Wal*Mart) are based on legal entitlements, but:

For every 4 hours a colleague works, they're entitled to 15 minutes paid break;

For every 6 hours, it's 20 minutes paid;

And for an 8 hour shift, it's 15 minutes paid plus 30 minutes unpaid lunch/tea break.

I'm supposed to get 15 break and 30 for lunch I get nothing as I don't have time. It's worse this week as I'm basically in charge as the boss is away. ( I work in a cafe where it's busy most of the day, I'm always on my feet too )
