Click away folks... blurb:

A favour to ask for Breast Cancer
Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having
trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their
quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged
woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on
"donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).
This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the
number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.
Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

Yes, but funding a mammogram is not going to aid them in getting any nearer to a cure, donating to Cancer Research (hopefully) is.

A poor choice of words on my behalf - It is indeed a scan, promoted as being beneficial through early detection.

:o It's a few clicks of the mouse, it's not going to cost you anything.

But false-positive mammogrammes can prove very dangerous.

Just because something looks like a good thing, it doesn't mean that it always is.

There are also risks associated with cumulative mammography.

Whilst it may cost you nothing, it may cost the health of one of the recipients.

I don't recall saying it would, or even saying that I wasn't going to click it but the point remains, it does nothing for UK breast cancer sufferers, it's from a junk email and it's not actually helping to research a remedy.

Well my grandmothers cancer was detected by mammogram and without it she wouldn't be with us now. I also have several family members in the US.

So I'll be clicking and I'll keep doing so.
