Firstly, please close if this is against any rules :)

Secondly, please don't turn this into a flame war, this is meant to be a polite, civil and inclusive discussion for everyone and not the typical insult slinging thread discussing politics can often result in.

Now on to the topic, recently I've seen and heard a lot of people from both the remain and leave side making sweeping statements about their counterparts and the reasons for people voting. Mainly the typical "Racist", "Uneducated" and "Ignorant" terms batted around by some remainers and "Selfish", "Fearmongering" and "Money driven" by some leavers.

I don't believe everyone is racist, money driven or ignorant so to shed some light on the issue I would like to know the reason why you voted the way you did :)

Your intentions are noble. The reality is it will quickly descend into what you describe above.

Politics, civil? You've seen the establishment? Little civilised angels they are. Setting fine examples. You can feel all the love.

Voted leave. I voted this way because I've never been happy with the amount of unelected bureaucrats who hold power and can introduce laws which override our government and courts. I'm a bit nervous about the economic impact of leaving but any short term pain is worth it given wbat we get back in self rule.
