I've just gone from AOL to O2, and have had a few issues with the Wireless Box II they sent me, which involved it just dropping signal fully and needing restarting to 'wake' up.

As such, I set up my old faithful Netgear DG831 to work with O2 as per the instructions on their site. All was fine and dandy, and the router was working perfectly. There are a couple of other Netgear networks around here, so I decided to change the name of mine (as you do).

I changed the name, and as soon as I had applied the change, I could no longer connect to the internet, or the router via 192.168.0.1 wirelessly. Upon discovering this, I plugged my laptop into the router, and tried the same, but to no avail. I can't access the router properties, and as such am unable to make any changes or see what's going on.

Has anybody else here experienced this, and is there anything that I can do to fix it?

I there is a reset switch, It might be in a tiny hole somewhere you will need a pin to press it.

I had the same problem, when o2 turned off some old DNS servers a few months back my Netgear stopped connecting. So I connected up the o2 router which has continuously dropped the connection and become unresponsive almost daily, yesterday it decided to completely die and give me nothing but a red light. So I decided to sort out the Netgear, which meant I had to wipe and reset the configuration and phone o2 for all the connection details. This has now been working fine and o2 are sending another router (its worth having as a back up :))

There should be a little reset button on the routers, that'll reset all the settings to default.
