Not sure what happened.

I was going to use this spare WRT54GL with tomato on it to setup a wireless access point. I couldnt access the router cos it was in wireless bridge mode and I had forgotten what IP address I had set it as.

So I pressed the reset button on the back of it and held it for a few seconds. Then the power light started flashing. I still couldnt access the router, I wanted it reset to default settings (which I have done before with similar random combinations of pressing the reset button). So I turned off the router, and then after that it wouldnt turn back on.

The LED lights on the front wont turn on. Its like it has no power.

Im not sure if its the power supply or what but I dont see why it would suddenly stop working at the exact same time as I am trying to reset the router.

Anyone had this before or know what to do? A google search suggested it was bricked but I cant ping the router. Its also a bit hard if I dont know what its IP address is.

OK turns out it wasnt bricked but somehow it was the power supply.

Very unusual that in that same instant that I reboot the router the power supply decides to die after years of service!

Got it up and running as an AP now, seems to work well!
