Hi All,

I'm after a bridge camera for my Wife.

She's had a Canon 350D for a while - ages - and has two lenses, a 35-80 and a 75-300. The latter of the two has been playing up for ages, and once upon a time it was a great camera but is now long in the tooth. She liked the macro function on it, and did some great pictures.

I'm after a replacement, but a key thing must be its quick to use. I can't have something that takes 20 seconds to turn on and is slow to take pictures and can only take 1 every 5 seconds. Slight exaggerations there, but frustration levels must be low !

I'm not really sure what features I'm after, but budget needs to be sub £200. I guess it will need a memory card, so recommendations on a decent one also requested. If I can manage both within the budget, awesome, if I can't, no problem.

Thoughts on a postcard please !

Edit - something like this looks interesting - http://www.jessops.com/online.store...-shot DSC-H400 Digital Camera-90692/Show.html

Bit over your budget I know, but the Canon 100D body is at £319 atm.

Quite a step up from the 350D. Your wife can still use both her lenses.

The learning curve will not be too difficult.

The camera is tiny compared to all the other Canon bodies.

It is an SLR - much better quality output than a Bridge camera.

Just a suggestion :)
