I'm trying to guide someone through this using msn/skype and as they're a bit of a n00b :rolleyes: , it's somewhat difficult.

There's a laptop, which connects to a BT HomeHub using wireless, and this laptop also has an etherent port.
What we're trying to do is connect an ethernet device (PS2) to the HomeHub, using the laptop to 'bridge' the connection.

PS2 -> Ethernet Cable -> Laptop -> WiFi -> BT HomeHub

I know how to 'bridge' connections (select both wired and wireless connection in the network connections folder and then choose bridge connections. Very simple) but this apparently doesnt work.

The n00b user told me "I bridged everything and it all connected and bridged nothing broke but I couldnt sign into msn and PS2 wouldnt connect" - I also know that Zone Alarm came up saying it was blocking something.
So I think that means that the bridge stopped the Laptop's internet from working, and the PS2 still couldnt connect.

What settings are required for Bridging Connections? Is there someway to tell the laptop to continue connecting to router through WiFI, but allow PS2 to connect through the laptops ethernet port?

TY For any help
Ed

Microsoft ICS - Internet Connection Sharing
Hmm, would a Sony PS2 work with that?
Because from reading about that it seems to require setting to be done, which a PS2 won't have. Hence my original idea of bridging them.
