Good Sunday afternoon.

My son is about to take his first steps out into the real world and about to start his apprenticeship for EDF at Hinkley Point C in August. We have been assigned to find him accommodation within the surrounding areas but not coming from the area itself we are looking for advice of where would be ideal for him.
Looking for a minimum 3-month accommodation contract, which could be extended, furnished property with all bills paid for, an en-suite if sharing accommodation and possible parking. I go on the usual estate agents websites and have been Intouch with a few but are recommending getting back Intouch approx 2 weeks before he's due to go and then see what they have on their books (I like to be planned in advanced).

So any places I should look at, avoid like the plague or any recommendations regarding accommodation etc would be appreciated, could pay between £600 - £800 PCM.

As someone who lived in Bridgwater for 30 years, I would avoid it. If he has to go there, then set your expectations that he doesn't go out by himself being a young lad. Should be quite cheap though, and close to Hinckley.

If he has to go Bridgwater, please avoid the park road area.
Durleigh is fine, and Rhode lane area ain't too bad.

Bridgwater crime stats

Take a look at North Petherton
Stogursey or spaxton- boring quiet small town for a young lad, but safe).
