Any views on this vs the Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97 - like the look of the Sniper for the fancy Creative Audio and extra year warranty. Will be paried up with a 4790K and a single 780.

They are different boards, the Sniper is made for gamers, it's a pretty standard board with a couple of gaming features bolted on. The SOC Force is all about performance, from the tuned BIOS and higher number of PWMs to the overclocking features and onboard controls.
