Brightness slider greyed out

Hi all,

I use an external monitor with my laptop, I have brightness full anyway but I've just noticed the brightness adjustment is greyed out in windows, any idea why this might happen? its installed as pnp monitor as the internal screen is.

Installed the driver, same issue, I think it might be related to power settings as I always put everything on max performance, but its only a guess and I cant see what might cause it.

external screens wont have brightness adjustment it wll be on the monitor. OSD
