Bring on the CPU price war!

The Intel 10850 is now cheaper than the Ryzen 5800X.

Let's see how AMD responds.

More cores doesn't necessarily equate to higher performance, the 8 core 5800X is 90 to 105% the performance of the 10900K in MT applications and faster in games while using half the power.

Also if you actually read the article, and not just the typical hyperbole wccf headline they admit the 5800X can be had for $399 at one of the US biggest retailer, its the same price as the 1850K.

If you look here....

10850K £420

5800X £380

It seems AMD have already brought the price down by $50.

Great price from OCUK on the 5800x, bit out of character based on their GPU pricing!

Don't think you can go wrong with either CPU though, 10850k is still a great CPU and based off my findings so far the 5800x also needs high end cooling too. I guess the 5800x can still command a slight premium being the faster CPU though.
