Bringing back an ipod touch from the USA?

I'm going to the states in a couple of weeks and considering treating myself to an ipod touch and possibly even a Nintendo DS. I’ve never bought any consumer electronics abroad before so don’t know if they will work ok?

Can anyone advise please?

IIRC, the Touch doesn't come with an A/C adapter. so no problems there. The iPod will work fine.

Can't comment on the DS

iPod Touch will work fine but you won't have a warrenty, so if it goes wrong you don't have a leg to stand on. Again, can't comment on the DS, post in the console forums and I'm sure they can help you out.

That's not true, Apple's warranties are worldwide.

Both the DS and the ipod will be fine if purchased in the US. I know, because I bought both a DS and touch in the last year

Ditto - I have a touch from a bit further North (Canada) warranty will be fine, they go on serial number anyway

You are right, I got it mixed up with the iPhone warranty.

Just to add all DS stuff is region free afaik, certainly the stuff i've purchased for the OH from US has been fine so don't worry on the games front
