Bristol car garage - Spec me!

I'm after some work on my Clio but as I'm not from Bristol I don't have any reliable friend/family recommendations on car garages. I know there's a few people here that live in Bristol so can anyone recommend one that isn't full of wheeler-dealer scam artists?

If the mods could leave this here rather than moving to Motors that would be hugely appreciated - everyone has an MOT/service, but hardly anyone visits there regularly!

I do all the work myself so only get MOTs so can't help.

AP autocare are french specialists

If you're prepared to travel a little, I have always used Worle Auto's in Worle

p), near Weston-super-Mare.

Only ever required MOT/Services/Odd small tasks I'm incapable of doing but they are honest, reliable and trustworthy.

Unfortunately there's no such thing as a honest car garage anymore

. The best I've come across so far is Windsor Road Garage, its pretty old skool massive shed next to his house basically. £45+VAT p/h labour and seemed honest enough when I used em, but your never sure!

So I've got a few quotes and the prices are crazy.

OSF wheel bearing ranges from £76 (ATS Euromaster) to £168 (National Autocentre). Even independents come in at £130+. Flexipipe quotes range from £35 to £198. Just silly. I hate car garages!

Been going there since I was recommended them in my first year of uni, so 8 years - always been honest and good with me, and don't overcharge.
Their by-the-hour labour charge isn't terrifically cheap but they absolutely won't shaft you.

This a normal car? Or a Clio V6 with loads of mods?

For the normal cars we use Combe Down Garage in Bath. Honest as an honest thing.

There's a few places we use for work on the Westfield, but they're not exactly the place you'd take your 1.2 basic clio.
