Seeing as nearly everyone is done with exams or soon will be, and seeing as I missed out last time due to exam-revision-guilt (you know the thing, you're not revising but you can't allow yourself to do anything else), I'd like to suggest another meet :)

There's tons of you around here or close enough to nip here, right?

How about it? The beer gardens are lovely this time of year :D I am loathe to make it an adult meet as I remember being 17. Also it's going to be mid- Bristol Harbour Festival which is fun for all ages! Naturally those under 18 will be drinking soft drinks as far as I am concerned...

EDIT:
Suggesting Saturday the 28th of July as the date. 4.30pm start.

I also suggest initially meeting at the Waterfront Pub (by Pero's Bridge - the 'horn/shrek' bridge). The drinks selection ain't great but you can sit outside, dangle feet over the waterfront edge and wave to lost-looking OcUKers before moving onwards!

Who's coming? (please tell the thread if these are wrong, please update any maybes to definites!)

Definitely:
sara
willd58
MikeHunt79

Maybe:
bigred
Dazzy_G
delta555
Toryglen-boy
el_dazza
Psyk
Zefan
knip
Tripnologist
Tesla

Oooh, lots of replies! Quality, will announce a date soon then - it'd be a Saturday, prob in July.

And yes, 18+ only, esp given the stuff I talk about when I've had a few!

If people want to email with dates that are good for them, maybe I can make a decision which will be good for most people... it's in trust. Or should be :)

Well seeing as the date has been mentioned, let's make it Saturday the 28th of July, and have done with it :)

It's more than enough time to get cheap advanced train tickets too, for those coming from further afield - I can offer a floor and maybe a blanket and pillow, but you might have to share a towel for showers ;)

Awesome - I'd like to suggest meeting somewhere nice and outdoorsy if the weather is nice, like on the benches outside The Old Duke - and then move along to wherever the good music is coming from (a band called Babyhead are playing at some point, I WILL drag people to see them as they're fantastic).

It being a saturday, it'd probably be a late afternoon start (like, 4pm), then get some nice food, and get the ales in...

Is this a definate date, and are people going? Can we get a list of who is? :)
Well, I will happily update the front page with any people that reply with "Me!" :)

I will be down near the Waterfront that day for sure, especially with the Harbour Festival going on. I don't want to get into organising hotel rooms or anything - Just I will be there, I'm sure a few others will be, so who wants to join in? :D

I'm afraid I'm not going to offer my lounge floor to anyone now as I kindof like to meet people before inviting them into my home. If people are nice, behave and there aren't too many of you, there may well be space.

Updated top post :)

What time?
 Thought you said you were unavailable for weekends?

Awesome!

I think 4.30pm would be good. Start at the Waterfront Pub by Pero's Bridge on the 'wrong' side of the waterfront. Then foods and things can be got at *some point* over the evening (likely to be stalls around and stuff). Those wanting to join later, let's get ourselves to the Old Duke for about 7.30pm.

I wouldn't mind coming - is there parking?
There's a multi-story car park v near the centre (next to the Academy/ice rink) and various smaller car parks dotted around - I'm not going to be able to guarantee spaces though!

Right, all! The weather looks like it's going to be lovely (touch wood)!

Just to confirm:

I shall be going to see Bad:Science on the Thekla stage at 3pm, then plonking myself in front of the Waterfront Pub (on the 'other' side next to Pero's Bridge - the big Shrek-ear looking thing) by 4.30pm.

Then maybe food, maybe see some more bands, then another sit down by The Old Duke (at the end of King St, same road as the Old Vic theatre) at 7.30pm.

I look like THIS

I'll see whoever is coming tomorrow :)

No one turned up - or at least no one found me. I won't take it personally, lads, honest...!

It was extremely busy in town and later on a bit of a washout anyway so maybe it's a good thing.

No. And don't say it, regardless of whether you are joking or not.

Myself and a lot of other posters WOULD have turned up if we had promised to. Don't take it personally just because some people lack the courage of their convictions.
Hehehe!

Cheers cbs but you're preaching to the converted :) I was absolutely kidding, and I don't take it personally at all ;) To be honest it would have been a ball-ache of a day with more than the 3 or 4 of us in my own gang trying to traipse round and find somewhere to sit amongst the Brizzle rabble...
