But the voice she had for her age was outstanding, even Simon Cowell looked stunned. She'll get signed even if she doesn't win

Personally I thought she was all over the place but she was good for her age.
The thing is that the majority of people (including me + Simon Cowell) don't know what good opera singing is and we hear the likes of Paul Potts and the 12 year old girl and think they're OK when they're clearly not within that genre.
Listen to Katherine Jenkinson sing that same song and you're in another dimension and all opera singers should be in that class.
