Going by a couple popular threads on here about the Armed Forces i thought i would start the ultimate armed forces thread:)
As you can tell by my sig im interested in the Army, and i just feel so lucky to be born in the country that has the best Army in the world.

So far ive passed medical and in two weeks im doing my BARB Test, and after that its my fitness test so far so good. Anyone else trying out for the Army and what regiment?

Go in to your local AFCO, have a chat with them, see what they say. They may be able to show you different options that may take your fancy. I found that online chat careers office thing crap tbh, not much help at all.

Hi mr Ghost hows your application going for the army:)

Well ladies and gents ive just got off the phone to careers office. And ive finally got good news, i can have my interview and BARB test next week. Ive been waiting for about 4 months to get to this part...finally:D

Anyway im unsure what i should wear these are my options:

1. Smart pair of jeans and a smart shirt.
2. White Shirt and black trousers, similiar to school:p

What would you suggest?

I could go down Burtons and pick something up tomorrow.

~Update~

Well after passing my interview and BARB Test, the careers person wants me to do my ADSC mid september and start phase 1 basic training in october:)

Im really looking forward to it now as its getting closer, ive been getting myself fit since november and its paid off now as i really think im physically ready for it now:)

Lol, ive just checked on google maps, and I walk 1.6 miles in 12 minutes every morning walking to work after getting off the train, and half of that is up hill. Is it really 1.5 miles in 12 minutes on the flat? Surely that's well easy.

I would love to see someone walking down the street at that pace:p

Well yesturday i had some great news, the recruiting office phoned me up. And told me i got my ADSC on the 17th september, and if i pass they want me in the army october:D

Good luck with the SC, I remember mine all those years ago! Just pray you dont get some up his own arse para full-scew who thinks he is gods gift! What you thinking of going into? Any questions then just give me a message mate.

I want to join the Coldstream Guards, i cant wait until i start basic. All i got to do is get the ADSC out the way next week, but im pretty sure ill be alright:)

What were you in Xcept1?
