I've only just found out/realised/whatever that the British GP race is on the same day as the world cup final. :o

Also I've just found out that general admission tickets have sold out already!! :(

I was planning on getting some again this year, but I didn't think they'd sell out so quick. I'm sure I booked mine in May last year.

I guess there's always ebay and people selling tickets because of unforseen circumstances though...

but the real dilemma is the world cup final on the same day, yeah I know I can record it but what IF England get to the final, and watching it recorded isn't quite the same (at all!)

Anyone have any idea what time the kick off might be lol?!

Also if I go to the GP where is good to sit grandstand wise? Is Hanger Straight's Grand stand any good?

The World Cup final will be shown live on the big screens at Silverstone after the race - I'm off to the GP camping for 3 nights anyway, so may as well make it 4 and watch the final too :)

Question is though.

Final GP. This last race depends between your favourite driver winning the drivers championship...Also the world cup final is on at the exact time with England being in the final.

What would you be watching?

Im not a footy fan but it would have to be world cup final with england, no way i could miss it live.

F1 is the only thing i follow, but when it comes to england in world cup or euro, it would be football everytime

I'd say that's only because two-thirds (and that's if you're lucky) of your typical Grand Prix is a snooze fest with hardly any overtaking or decent action. The start, drivers crashing out and other various incidents are the only exciting things that happen during a Grand Prix on a regular basis (and even then, most aren't really anything to write home about). Sure, you might get a gem like Belgium or Brazil 2008 where the last few laps are as dramatic as you like, but more often than not they aren't.

At least football, especially when it's something like the World Cup Final, keeps you on the edge of your seat for a good majority of the game.

Personally, though, I'd choose the F1; I've just never really been into football.
