British Nerdcore

yeah but it wouldn't really would it? Artists can rap/sing/shout about any number of subjects. It doesn't mean it becomes a new genre each time they change topic.

Sub-genre. You have thrash metal, heavy metal, hair metal, death metal, black metal. It's all metal but each one has a slightly different sound and style.

Nah, it makes sense. Most rap seems to be about obnoxious, arrogant ****s boasting about their money, status, sex life, etc. but nerds aren't in a position to boast about anything other than an in depth knowledge of Star Wars/Star Trek, comics, video games, cult TV shows...... It's more entertaining.

That's just mainstream commercial rap, not proper rap.

Would DJ Scotch Egg count as he uses gameboys to make tunes? :p
If it was people rapping about vegetarianism then yes, it would be veggiecore.
It used to be all about burgercore, but lately I'm getting to like kebabstep... :p

Back on topic, if anyone wants to make some verses about thier latest overclocking escapades, I could make a beat for you and it could be immortalised! :D
