Broadband and router for next year........

I'm living with my mates at uni and we have a house together next year. Were all computer science students and love gaming. So need something fast and loads of download available. Also we will need a router to put a QOS or split bandwidth or something as my housemate downloads loads of torrents and is a little F*ck for it, so want to stop him. Can anybody suggest broadband and routers etc. Thankyou

Get Be*. They don't throttle, no download limit and give free static IPs on their most expensive offering which may be handy for you guys.

You'll still want a router with QOS available. If you're CS students, you might well do well to set up an old computer with two network cards, run something like PFsense, m0n0wall or smoothwall (or similar). Make sure that at the very least your torrenting housemate is connected through this, then just ensure that he keeps to a schedule
