Hi Guys,

Been having issues with broadband for the past month. The connection just seems just drop about once or twice a day its extremely random. I've been troubleshooting this for a what feels an age but wanted to make sure I've done everything before contacting my ISP.

I've tried a different router, changed ADSL filters, disconnected home phone and sky boxes for testing purposes. Issue still persists. In my house there seems to be two master sockets as they are not connected to each other, I've tried the router in both and it still drops out. Plusnet said they can see the dropouts on their side and even sent me a graph to show the dropouts as below.

(The lines are the dropouts when the line isn't in sync)

The last step that plusnet have done was enable interleaving but this hasn't made any difference.

Any ideas suggestions please?

First thing I would do is get the telephone line sorted, which socket is the real master and start from there. Do you have a quiet telephone line? If not get the noise issue resolved.
Andi.

You only have one master socket per line, one has to be an extension or it's a second line, the only exception to this is a DACS line but that won't support DSL.
