Run the BT speedtest & get the IP profile info by clicking Further Diagnostics after the initial test has finished. http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/

Download speedachieved during the test was - 0.1 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.6 Mbps-7.15 Mbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :5.34 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 4.5 Mbps

Did you do the 'third' test after this?

Solved!!

Speed now 4.26mb!

Plus Net support had told me to alter the router settings to PPPoE before Christmas, I just changed it to PPPoA and voila!

The vfast checker says initial tests show they can get it.

How reliable is it?

Not the best, I'm in a big block of green and couldn't get a service from them. As you've probably read they'll do a survey from their office and if it looks like you can get the service they'll send an engineer out to do a site survey.

Cheers for all the tips, it's settled after a couple of hours to 1.8mb which is about where it was give or take.

Best they're going to get out here!
