I have what seems a very unique problem:
Got Sky broadband with Sagem router 3 months ago, switching over from Orange (which all worked fine).
My browsing speeds are very slow and sometimes a page doesn't even load. Playing Football Manager Live I get disconnected every minute. On the one occasion I stayed online in game for 5 minutes (a record) the ping graph showed a ping spike every minute to over 3k and back down again.
The odd bit is: I get fantastic download speeds on torrents and other downloads, like 1 MB/sec+ on some with no interruptions.
This happens on my wireless laptop and my wired connection desktop. I then tried another laptop which had not been used for a year and this has the same problems. So i presume this isn't a software problem on my PC's?
Sky helpline checked my line and said all ok (getting great download speeds after all) and seem to think it's a problem with my PC(s). I personally think it isn't a PC problem. I can't find anything out there which might cover this and I'm not the most tech savvy about, any help much appreciated
