8mb if your near the exchange box with recent cabling. 5.6Mbps seems fair. I'm on up to 16Mb and and get exactly that.
I can see the green box from one of my windows and it is a newish build.
Seeing the 'green box' from your window has nothing to do with your ADSL speeds.
That only means something when you get FTTC.![]()
Oh really? Fair enough. Well I'm only a 2min walk from the towns exchange building too. I always seem to get the max. One of the reasons the exchange has infinity, but I can't get it, is because standard adsl down our street is so good...so we're last on the list.
Any informed answer would need the line stats from the router.
some people are over estimating the download speed :\

that SNR down, is rather low, the line is at its max tbh.
