My connection was not great.
Then last week I started to getting noise on the line.
BT Openreach came out today and replaced part of the line the next pole over, turns out it the wire had cut / embedded itself inside a tree branch.
I'm wondering how long it would have been like that.
I can now "log" on with no issues
