broadband without a contract

an entanet reseller (ukfsn, adsl24 are 2 -there are plenty more) is certainly your best bet if you need a large allowance every month.

if you're a light/medium user, perhaps look at newnet, idnet or zen. they all do minumum one month contracts also and have good reputations for service and support.

i assume you're migrating away from another isp and have a mac code and hardware? if not, then you'll need to pay connection fees (£47ish) and supply your own hardware (obviously you don't get the freebies when signing up for one month :p)

no I am looking after my parents house for 3 weeks and they don't have broadband.

I assume you just need the bt phone line activating and an adsl modem

Virgin's ADSL is shocking and they reserve the right to charge you £50 if you disconnect in less than 12 months iirc though it may well have had a policy change since I last looked.
