an entanet reseller (ukfsn, adsl24 are 2 -there are plenty more) is certainly your best bet if you need a large allowance every month.
if you're a light/medium user, perhaps look at newnet, idnet or zen. they all do minumum one month contracts also and have good reputations for service and support.
i assume you're migrating away from another isp and have a mac code and hardware? if not, then you'll need to pay connection fees (£47ish) and supply your own hardware (obviously you don't get the freebies when signing up for one month )
Virgin's ADSL is shocking and they reserve the right to charge you £50 if you disconnect in less than 12 months iirc though it may well have had a policy change since I last looked.
Plusnet will only give you an account if you also agree to receive their router with the contract. Cancel within 12months and you pay for it, otherwise it's free.
