Hi there, ive just moved into my new house im only 194 metres from the exchange i can get virgin media aswel but the thing is i cant get BT Infinty what broadband do you guys reckon i should go for ADSL or cable.

If you want a full bundle you've got two choices; Virgin or Sky (LLU).

If you decide go for either check with the cash back sites first as you could get a reasonable amount back.

Bear in mind that BT infinity is fiber to the cabinet, so distance to exchange doesn't matter in that respect. Your choice is ADSL (Admittedly at a good speed) or virgin cable. It comes down to how important total speed it. Virgin will give you 50 meg if your in a supported area, ASDL tops at 24 meg. Then its just price vs speed.

If it's BT Infinity then it's VDSL, current profiles are giving 40mb download and 10mb upload. This is expected to double in Spring 2012. As for Virgin Media, you can either get 50mb (5mb upload) or 100mb (10mb upload) depending on the area you're in. So it all depends on where you live. What exchange are you connected to?

Apart from that, there's also the TV packages BT Vision and Virgin... all depends on which TV package appeals to you more.
