Any other folks here have one? I finally got one last week, and have set up my Echo to launch/control my TV, Sky box and amplifier with some good success.

Some initial points of interest...

When setting up user defined routines, it seems certain words such as "TV" and "Bluray" are reserved and intercepted by the Echo before they may it to the routines list. As such I've had to use the word "Telly" instead of "TV" and "film" instead of "bluray".

The other stumbling block is trying to work out ways to turn devices on, without issuing the same remote that coudl turn them off. eg: If you want to create a comment to turn the TV and Amp on, then set them both to the appropriate inputs/outputs, if the TV is already on, you don't want to send an on/off signal, resulting in the TV turning off. On Sky, the dedicated "Sky" remote button will luckily turn it on if the unit is off. And I think (need to check) that pressing "channel up" will turn my LG TV on.

It's a shame you can't get dedicated on and off remote control signals.
