ive got a 280x that boots but gives constant whea errors and bsods so what can i do with it how do i find out about the warranty i bought it with OC. Can i sell it to be recycled? or for something else?

Sapphire offer a two year warranty. I believe the 280X was released in October 2013, so there's a good chance you're still covered. Their warranty is entirely handled through the retailer though, so you'd need to contact the place you bought it from.

/edit/ Reading again I see that you bought it here, so that should be fine. October 8th 2013 was the release date apparently, so if you didn't buy it within the first week you should be grand.

May be just check your order history for your order date to see if it is less than two years and still within warranty period?

Oh and make sure you use the forum's Customer Support section rather than calling the store, as you are far more likely to received service and support from the more experienced and helpful staffs this way.

ive run a cpu stress test prime 95 nothing happens (with a spare 610 gpu) then with the 280x it will crash defo on games or programmes or anything that loads it slightly ive done memtest and ive made sure my psu is good updated bios basically everything and theres one thing i know for sure my pc will crash with it so it must be the 280x with the spare gpu it can play games and hasnt had a single crash. So unless a bad cpu can survive prime and pass mark and games with no crashes theres no way.

ive updated the bios and the only other slot i can use is a 8x slot as i have Asus PCE-AC68 in the 1x slot blocking the top 16x one.

Heres my specs:
Gigabyte X99M Gaming 5 - Intel Core i7 5820K Six Core CPU
Avexir Platinum 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit
Asus PCE-AC68 802.11ac Dual-band Wireless AC1900 PCI-E Adaptor
SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 850W Fully Modular
Samsung 128GB SSD 850 PRO
Sapphire dual x 280x (which doesnt work anymore)

Temporarily remove the Asus card to test or use the 8X slot. It won't make much difference in gpu performance, maybe 1-2fps.

edit
Chuck the wifi card i to pci-e3 and u have both the top ones free then.
Why didn't I think of that.. that's a better solution
