Sorry if this is in the wrong section - please move it if it is.

Having some suspicions that the audio port on my PC might be broken. Just received my new HyperX Cloud and plugged it in and there was a loud fuzzy noise coming from it. Now I had this issue previously but I thought it was just due to a faulty headset. I've now plugged the headset into my laptop, and there's no fuzzy background noise, absolutely silent. The ports I was using are just the onboard ones on my motherboard (asrock z68 pro3)

i would start by reinstalling the audio drivers to see if that helps

As in the onboard audio drivers? I can get round to that soon, currently lying in bed ill :(

What would you suggest if this were not to work? Before I got into bed and became too stressed, I opened up the case and everything seemed to be in place. My Luxe does have a front audio port although it doesn't seem to be working even though it's plugged into the HD AUDIO header :S

Anyone know why the front audio ports aren't working for my Luxe either? USB, reset etc all seems to be fine...

how dose it work when you use the front panel audio jack?.

Edit:
lol just seen your post, uninstall all audio drivers and reinstall. but you may have an on-board fault, now old is the system
