Broken Creative T20 Speakers :(

So I bought some Creative T20 speakers yesterday - at the actual factory store - but they are only half working. The left speaker is fine but the right one doesn't seem to have much life in it! It is too quiet - WAY too quiet. So quiet, in fact, that if I put volume on max and unplug the left speaker I can't even make out the words to a song. It's like a whisper.

I thought it might have been the laptop because I was using the headphone socket, so I then tried it on my main PC and then the PS3; but to no avail - the right speaker is just completely useless lol.

It's a shame because the left speaker is surprisingly good haha!

Anyway, I'm worried because I'm not sure if I have the receipt, and I paid by cash for the first time - because the price was such that I had enough money in my wallet -, so they won't be able to track my order :(

What should I do? Should I just take it back to the store and see if they will exchange it? Hopefully the same guy is serving - don't know his name, though - and will remember me :P I did make a comment about how their till has been broken for 4 years so he probably would lol!

Regards,
Brian.

Thats a common issue, you can unscrew the speaker and reconnect the connector (they tend to fall off).

Im only going by what I hare read, aint sure if it was in here or elsewhere, try Google for it.

Hmm I guess I will have a go at fixing them lol. Will see if I can refine my google searches with this new information.

Just unscrew the casing and check for anything not properly wired?

my t20s were a bit like that and ive only had them a week
not too quiet
but noticable

i reinstalled my onboard drivers a lot and shouted at my hardware a lot then realised the connection was a bit rubbish

having said that i did take them apart and strip / refit the wires

my old creative itregue speakers were of the same rubbish build quality inside when i took them apart to sort the dodgy sub out

i have some £25 logitech speakers in my kitchen for using with my old ipod whilst cooking
and they sound just as good as my t20s at mid volume
