Mine broke, quite a common problem on all acer laptops after some research.

None of the DC jack websites list any combatible with the acer 3023wlmi.

Any ideas which one would fit ?

I think I'll try a PJ14 which states :
Aspire: 1200, 1410, 1500, 1520, 1600, 1610, 1620, 1641WLMI, 1642WLMI, 1660, 1670, 1680, 1690, 2001WLCi, 2303WLCi, 2413, 3000, 3002-LCI, 3003WLCi, 3210, 3500, 3610, 3620, 3680, 4000 series, 4002, 4150, 4400 series, 5000 Series, 5050*, 5570*, 7100 Series, 8100 Series, 9300 Series, 9410 Series, 9411AWSMi, 9412WSMi
* Pull out the side prong

I think he means that power socket on the laptop itself not the PSU. Anyway chances are that when it says Acer aspire 3000 it will cover yours as its a 3000 series. Acer usually have pretty similar boards in anything with the first 2 digits of the model number the same. When you say you broke it do you mean the pin came out the middle or it just stopped working? I ask because we had a few of the Acers where the solder on the socket had cracked off and you could just re-flow it.

Its not really super difficult its just a bit of a pain really. You need to fully strip the laptop down and take out the motherboard to get to the socket. Reflowing it isnt too hard, you just get a reasonably hot iron and heat the points on the board where the socket goes in and add a little more solder to them. If you do want to do it I would just suggest you find a system for makig sure the screws go back in the right places. Some people write boxes on paper for where the screw came from and leave them on there, stuff like that.

I did one on an Acer lappy for someone a couple of months back, ended up having to replace the small board that the dc jack sits on as on. Cost about £30 or so for the brand new part i think...
:)

*EDIT*
Do a search for a service manual for your model as well, invaluable if stripping a laptop i think.

Yeah getting a service manual is probably a better approach, I dont use them because Im kinda used to the screws on paper method. They dont always have the daughterboard with the socket on though unfortunately. I think its mainly 5000 series Acers that do.

I was given a Packard Bell laptop with the same problem . Theres a site on that well known auction site that sells them for £4.99 delivered from the Isle of Man . They do a fitting service for £50 but I did mine myself . Very tricky job and you end up taking the whole thing apart to get to the mobo . I damaged the bit that switches the screen off when you closed the lid . It was a tiny [ and I mean tiny] micro switch , I nipped the 2 silver pins together and theres no problems . I never leave the laptop on with the screen/top closed anyway . Just de-solder the original black square jack and solder in the new one and re-build the laptop . Job done ! but try to put ALL the screws back !
