After spending the last month getting into Elite Dangerous VR, I have now broken my button 5 on the throttle of the HOTAS. This is usually one of the most used buttons as I have to hold it in for enabling thrust fire (sideways , up, down and incremental fore aft).
Do you think that I should bite the bullet and upgrade to the T16000m or get another HOTAS X?
If I had the money, the Warthog would be a no quibbling solution, however my wife would have a lot to say about the money spent.
What do you think about the x52? Or any other quality solution that is sub £200 budget?

The T.16000M is nowhere near the T-Flight on terms of comfort IMO. The throttle is very "flat", not curved for a hand. How old is your T-Flight?

My HOTAS X is the first version for pc/ps3 andI have had it for6 years. Luckily I have managed to repair it, as the plastic pillars which hold the buttons' pcb inplace had cracked. This was fixed with some ape glue, but I am not hopeful that it would last for another 6 years.
We have the T16000m in work, but after a few minutes it drifts on the z axis. A common issue I believe..
I could use the borrowed time to save some money for a VKB or Warthog I suppose.

Unfortunately all the cheaper sticks seem to have drift issues, the newer T-Flight (One/4) models seem like they get it more frequently/develop it more quickly than the older Hotas X from reading around. If it's lasted you that long and you've not found any real major issues I'd stick with the same. If you enjoy the center notch on the throttle for zero throttle then consider this too, I really liked that about the T-Flight design for elite at least.
