Broken Ipod?

Hi all, I've got a first generation 2GB ipod nano which I've had since the end of 2005. It's worked flawlessly until now. This morning I put 3 files on it to transfer onto another computer (2 JPEG images and a Maya file). Ever since I have done this the ipod is not recognised on any computer. I have had files stored on it before such as excel files and images.

The ipod does not show in itunes or in my computer. When I plug it in windows registers it but says the device is not recognised.

Ipod updater does not see it either. Despite all this, the ipod still works perfectly when it isn't plugged into a computer.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Try resetting the ipod. I forget how to do it. just Google for reseting an ipod. It also has diagnostic modes which you can access which tests if everything is working. Again, google.

Dude, I had considered this but I thought surely it would be too simple to just reset it but none the less, it worked! Thankks dude! :)
