Broken laptop keys

Hi,

I need some help fixing my laptop's keyboard.

I removed two keys in order to clean underneath them. Now I'm having difficulty reattaching them and they've lost their springy-ness.

I don't think anything has broken off. I'm hoping it's just a case of popping something back into place. Here are a couple of pictures:

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

You need to pop the middle pegs back into the lower mechanism. Either take both white clips off the keyboard and re-assemble or you can sometimes just lay it flat and use a small jewelers screw driver to twist a gap in between the two parts and pop the peg back in, taking it off is propably easier as you don't want to damage anything. Again use a small flat blade to ease the retaining pegs from the metal brackets.

Thanks for replying.

I popped the middle pegs back into the lower mechanism and reattached the keys. They work but they still aren't as springy as they were before. Any thoughts on why that might be?
