broken laptop screen

my sister just give me my nieces laptop to fix. the screen was broken, it looked like it had been hit, now ive replaced the screen and all working ok, one thing tho, she swears that she didn't hit it, so is there anything else that would casue a dmg to a screen

In 7 years of repairing laptops I've only ever seen a few laptops that have cracked due to manufacturing defects, mainly due to stress points on the screen frame.

If its cracked its 99.99999% been hit.

We have had one with a pen left on the keyboard when the lid was shut.

I've fixed two with pen on keyboard syndrome and three drop cracks.

only has to be dropped or banged when moved to do it
