Thanks to a dodgy Akasa Evo 33 which won't come off, I'm going to have to make an insurance claim to get me up and running again. :(

I currently have:

Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe (£93.50 + VAT)
Athlon 4000+ (£280.81 +VAT)
2Gb DDR RAM

Obviously, I'm going to have to, at the very least, replace the motherboard. Do you think I should find a replacement (hard, seeing as it's a 939) or claim for a motherboard, CPU and RAM... and if so, what?

No new motherboard was needed in the end -- I managed to get the cooler off with a hacksaw and some bloody knuckles! The most extreme PC maintenance I've ever done -- hopefully something I won't have to to again! :)

haha

right this is how it is

ive got a friend call him "jim" now , jim works for a firm that deals with insurense claims and hes the S.O.B that gives u a bunch of bull for ** nice rig on ** claim.

now he told me that they dont base anythin gon price atall, they get it all insainly cheap anyway so thats irrelivant..

THEY BASE IT ON SPEC

so ** gonna get a brand new or as close as to what you have already

:D

sorry about the bad spelling
