I bought two Viewsonic VP930’s.

They were fine for 4 days, then on the 5th day I switched my pc on, and there was no picture at all. Just an orange standby light.

So I swapped DVI leads. No better.

So I put the monitor on the other PC. Still no picture.

So I sent it back.

The shop plugged it into their pc, and said it’s working fine.

I’ve tried the other VP930 on my pc and the same thing has happened – it worked for 2 days and on the third no picture, just a standby light.

I don't want to end up with a monitor that works intermittently! Could there be a setting or something that's causing this? Or do you just think the monitor is a duffer?

I dont mean to sound harsh but is the graphics card seated properly?

I had no end of trouble with that orange light!

Any other changes you made on the third day? have you got an old crt you could test it on?

My pc is working fine with the old CRT.

I didn't adjust the graphics card at all... just tried different DVI leads, and then tried the VP930 on a different pc, where it still wouldn't work.
